Working with Windmill Community Garden

At Tiger we believe it is important to have a vibrant network of community organisations. Each has something special they bring to their communities, having different focuses and using their expertise to offer services that bring support when needed.

The more community groups work together the stronger our connections become and the eco-system grows.

We have been working with Windmill Community Garden for a number of years.

We bring our crafting workshops to their open days and more recently have been cooking for their volunteers.

Thursdays have become very special. We get to work in a peaceful, welcoming space that feels like a hug when you arrive.

We use vegetables, fruit and herbs from the garden to produce a meal for 20+ people. We keep it fairly simple, letting the flavours of the produce shine through.

There is help every week from our volunteers - Aaron, who has been there every week enthusiatic to learn and be involved, Jas who is keen to build her skills as she hunts for a job and Jane, our super volunteer who will happily fill gaps to ensure Toni isn't on her own when out and about working with the community.

Food will be served weekly through until March next year. Tiger will be alternating with Erica to bring a variety of menus for the visitors and volunteers. You are welcome to come along.
