Tiger is about People & Planet.
We have always offered opportunities to young people since Tiger started with Nottingham StrEAT events.
Whether it's students or young adults with learning disabilities we love the enthusiasm they bring and the vibrant mix ensures they learn from each other as well as from the wider Tiger Team.
These opportunities quite often start with engagement with one of our projects, however, those that stay with us for any length of time will get involved with all the activities that Tiger runs or gets involved with.
They learn skills, build confidence and self esteem, we see communication skills improve and their empathy towards others grows too.
This year's funding from Hubbub will allow us to cover some of the costs involved with offering these opportunities to young people and any training we put them through.
In the picture you see Aaron, who first came to us from Space Inc to help him become more independent. He enthusiastically gets involved with everything we do, sewing, food prep and attending events. We've seen his skills grow, and when we ask why he keeps coming to Tiger he says it's because it's fun.
Jas is also in the picture. She started volunteering to improve her work skills to help her with her work search. We have recently put her forward for Outside Food Hygiene training which incorporated Level 2 Food Safety.
These are just 2 examples of the people we work with, we are always welcoming new people into the Tiger fold, being led by the individuals we help them achieve their goals.
