Tiger supports a range of vulnerable people - elderly, families dealing with dementia, LGBTQ+ community, young people and adults with learning difficulties, as well as the wider community.
Tiger Community Enterprise CIC was established in 2013 and celebrated our 10th Birthday in June.
Tiger Community Hub opened on Lister Gate in Spring 2022, with the aim to provide activities to support mental health and wellbeing, increase skills, confidence and offer opportunities for the community.
Our tenancy at Lister Gate finishes at the end of January 2024 and is not being extended. Despite exploring alternative premises in the city centre, the activities at Tiger Community Hub will effectively cease on 22 December 2023.
During the final month of the tenancy we will be have clearance sale days, where fabrics, haberdashery, craft materials, furniture and lots of 'randomness' will need to be sold.
From February 2024, Tiger will operate our core projects at Radford. We have been welcomed to base our activities at:
All Souls Church and Community Centre, Ilkeston Road, Nottingham, NG7 3HF
It is difficult to predict the future of Tiger Community Hub for it's many users and support partners following this upheaval, however, we continue to look for an alternative city centre space to come back bigger and better.
Our activities will either cease or reduce until we secure the new space:
- Tiger Cafe - close
- Tiger Shop - close - you can still buy our Handmade by Tiger items online: tigercommunitystore.co.uk
- Activities and workshops with partners - continue in situ
- Recycling Collection Point - close until alternative arrangements can be made
- School Holiday family activities - close
- Warm Tiger Days - close
- Community Wellbeing Days - dates at All Souls to be announced
- Community Lunch - close
- Tiger Eats will be launched in February - cookery classes and ready meal delivery
